We got the ultrasound today.
My suspicions were confirmed. We are having another boy. That makes it 4 boys, 2 girls. At least my last one won't be a girl. LOL. I can get started on my baby knitting now. I know I should go for blues and greens, not pinks and purples. I also have to keep in mind this baby shouldn't be here until the end of March....which means spring. Don't think I will knit up that diagonal baby blanket with Homespun. Maybe I will stick with cotton and lighter fabrics, if I can find them.
I went to my local Michaels' the other day, and was impressed at the variety of yarn they had. Bamboo, linen, wool. Lots of the good stuff. And not too costly! I just wish they made baby colors that weren't so pastel. I can't stand the pastel blues. Hey, babies can't see in color anyway! Maybe I should go the black and white route for a crib blanket...
On the knitting front: I got my Lucy bag done. It only took me about 3 days to complete. I love that bag. I might have to make another, in a smaller size. I also completed a few dishcloths and am working on scarves. No pics...
I did not knit hardly at all over Thanksgiving. Instead I read. And visited my husband's family. It was relaxing, but it made me thankful that we don't live anywhere around there (it's a 12 hr drive!). Too much drama. Like a soap opera! I guess that's the spice of life, but I prefer mine a bit blander...life that is. I don't like the drama too much, or so much all at once. But I guess that's what the holiday's are about. You get to see the crazy family members, and breathe a sigh of relief that you are not that bad off. Kinda like watching an episode of Jerry Springer. So it was a long drive, and I had been thinking about moving back, but now I am perfectly happy where I am. There is so much more here to offer the kids. I don't live in a big city, but it isn't small town, either.
Well that's my update... it's almost December, and my one year knitting anniversary. I need to find some dishcloth patterns, simple and easy and fast, and start thinking about what to knit for this baby.

Congratulations on finding out that you're having a boy! I totally agree with you about the family stuff. It's nice to visit, but so nice to go home to your own house for some peace a quiet.
Sandy
