Socks and Bookmarks

YIPEE!!!

I finally got my socks done! It only took me 25 days for one pair!!! Actually, the second sock was done in 3 days, it was the first sock that took forever. I had to scrap my original plan and go with basic socks from Silver's Sock Class. I think they turned out pretty good. I used Paton's Kroy and size 1 needles. It's just knit in the round on DPN's. Pretty easy. Here are some pictures of my finished socks.

I have been wanting to post these forever, but have been lazy (or on a sock knitting craze) and decided to snap them since I had the camera out.
This is Fancy Filigree, a bookmark I crocheted. I'm amazed that I can produce such beautiful work! The pattern can be found here.

The Lattice Bookmark is another adventure in crochet. This was super-easy. I could probably whip up about ten of these in an hour!!

Mountain Peaks is a design of my own. I might post the pattern at a later date.

Finally, this was the Mid-July KAL of my group Monthly Bookmarks. This bookmark was designed by Annette especially for this group. If you want some free patterns, go check out her site.
I used a special hand-dyed thread from my friend Brian, who sent it to me as part of an exchange (the one where I got the bath puppets and needle case!)

I also joined Secret Pall 11 and Sock a Month KAL 4. I think I am addicted to these socks! Can't wait to learn magic loop, so I can do 2 at once. Maybe I can knit double the amount!!!
