Dishcloths

Here are several dishcloths I've done over the past few days. Some of these will be going to my exchange partners. You won't know which one you're getting, so it's still a surprise!!

This one I kinda made up, but there probably is a pattern out there somewhere for it. It's just knit one row, purl one row, k2tog, yo, one row, knit one row. Very easy. I used a nice bright shade of blue. It's not really freakish blue, like my monitor shows (photo editing software, don't you love it?) but a very nice shade.

This one, Lacy Round Cloth, designed by Rhonda White at KnittingKnonsense.com, was very easy, but very large! I actually tried it once, with cotton and size 6 needles, and it was still the size of a platter! This one is knitted with Sinfonia, don't know the color, on size 3 needles. It's still about 8 inches from tip to tip, but waayyy more manageable. I just love the colors. It's orange and pink with brown thrown in. I don't know, I'd love to make a pair of socks with that colorway!

Another round cloth, designed my Maile from K1,P1, Keeping You in Stitches Studio, is actually this week's Cloth Of the Week. It uses the Wrap and Turn techinique, which I did not know about in the previous round cloth. Can you see the difference? NO big gaps where you are turning the work. Short rows are not so hard, as long as you know how to work them. And thanks to Maile and her awesome tutorial, I can now do it myself! I used Paton's Grace in a light green and dark purple. Kinda reminds me of the Joker...

Puffy Stripe, last week's Cloth of the Week. Isn't it pretty? I used SnC Potpourri Ombre. I think that is one of my favorite colors. It's understated...Anyway, this was a very quick knit. The rows were easily memorized, and I had the cloth done in no time.

I will post more as I get more done. If you are not a member of Cloth of the Week, I highly recommend you check it out. I mean, a cloth a week!! Plus, you get to learn lots of stuff. I would have never known about the wrap and turn, and even the mattress stitch would have remained a mystery to me. And did I mention free dishcloth patterns EACH WEEK???

Very nice! I've done the one from Knitting Nonsense, also. Its very large, but I love it! I use mine as a centerpiece on my coffee table under a vase of flowers.

Great job on all your cloths!
