Open Lace Bookmark

I designed this bookmark on the fly for my Bookmark KAL group.

The secret to get the "open" look is to use needles larger than specified for the yarn. I used crochet cotton #10 and size 2 needles.

Open Lace
Materials: a small amount of crochet cotton #10
size 2 needles

CO 14

Row1: (P1, yo, skp, k1, k2tog, yo, p1) 2x
Row2: k1, p5, k2, p5, k1
Row3: (p1, k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k1, p1) 2x
Row4: k1, p5, k2, p5,k1

Repeat these 4 rows a total of 12 times (or more for desired length)
BO, weave in ends, and block.

Ok, here's some special abbreviations for those that might be confused:

skp: slip knitwise, knit one stitch, pass slipped stitch over
sk2p: slip knitwise, k2tog, pass slipped stitch over

There are no borders. You can add a tassel if you want.

Enjoy!
