Green Stuff

As I was looking through my FO’s I noticed that they all were green, or had green them. Weird, since green is not one of my favorite colors, though I don’t mind it too much.

And I’m not this prolific a knitter. Nope, not by a long shot. I tend to store them up and show them off all at once. So here is my “green stuff”

002

Irish Lace from the Cloth of the Week group. A very quick knit, and pretty. I used Hobby Lobby I love this cotton!

From the same skein is the Reversible Shamrock cloth. It’s only one cloth, but both sides are pictured. It’s reversible.  I used a size 3 needle, and this cloth is large. I don’t normally like to cast on 45 stitches, but this is worth it.

This is a dishcloth/towel set I made for a swap. The cloths are crocheted hyperbolic and the towel is knitted. Very quick projects actually. I finally put the buttons on to finish the towels.

006

Another towel for a swap. This is the Mitered Towel from the new Mason Dixon book. The pattern is actually free. I really like this towel. I used a huge button so it would stay closed.

This is another set for a swap. It’s the Two-one cowl (pdf) partnered with Maine Morning Mitts.  (pdf)The ribbing is a 2-1 rib and goes pretty quickly. They stretch quite a bit.

This is the Zinnia cloth that I first saw over on AK’s blog. I love this grey/pink camo color. I used green as the center. Thanks AK for inspiring me to do this cloth. It was quick and easy, though I don’t like the seam at the end. It just doesn’t quite fit the overall pattern.

So I mentioned before that I was going to have a contest starting today. My baby guy turns one today, and my other guy turns 16. So in honor of reaching 2 important milestones, I’m going to have a contest. I’m still throwing ideas around for prizes, but it will be good, I promise!

To enter  just leave a comment. This contest will end on the 31st with winners announced on April 1. Ha, I can already see the jokes for that one….

My goal is to blog at least 3x a week so check back often!

I didn't like the Zinnia seam either, but it sure is a pretty cloth though, I love that pink camo color, I don't have any of that one. Hmmm

Oh boy a contest. I love a contest. Consider me entered and I'll go add you to my side bar on the blog too.

Happy Birthday to your little one. Green cake and ice cream, perhaps?

I'm sorry, you can't say you're not a prolific knitter. Even if you do save them all up to show at one time, you still have a lot of stuff to show. I always pick big things though, so I only have lots of pictures of 1 item. :o) See you at JJ&J tomorrow.

I think that Zinnia dishcloth is really cool. I also like the shamrock cloth. You do beautiful work, Anita.
