I Love the Postman pt 2

I received my final SP12 package. Yay!!!

Look at this luscious yarn Dee spun and dyed for me.  It's alpaca and ohh so soft. I have no idea what I am going to do with 2 skeins of this yarny goodness, but in the meantime it will be my pet :)

She also made this cute felted bag. I love the handles! This is the perfect bag for me.

Ok, sorry this pic is not all artistic and laid out nicely. It shows some other stuff I had to unwrap as well. 2 skeins of wool for my own Ruthann's Birthday Bag (you can buy the pattern off Dee's website), some notions including the cutest buttons in pink!  She sent a very nice bookmark, some sweet smelling candle melts, a handmade cloth, and some cotton. Oh yeah, she sent the pattern for the bag too, not just the wool, LOL.

I think one of my favorites was the CD full of Christian music. I owned most of them, but they got broke or lost at some point. Some of my very favorite songs are on those CD's and now I can enjoy them again.  So I thank you Dee for sending the music to me. It's a real pick-me-up and gets me connected in a way nothing else can. And boy, do I need to get re-connected.

This was a great SP experience for me.  My spoilee is someone I "know" from other swaps (BigBagKnitalongand Kal, mini purse swap, and monthly dishcloth swappers!) and has the same values. We both have large families and homeschool our children. We both believe in, love, and follow God and our personal savior, Jesus.  Wow, our hostess did a wonderful job in assigning us together.

Thanks Dee for the great swap. Of course you did an awesome job in teasing, sending, and spoiling! I was guessing until the end. And I love all the handmade stuff.  Especially the yarn. Wow, awesome job.

So who has ideas on what to make with the yarn? It's 100% alpaca in a WW or light bulky weight. I have about 210 yds. And I don't want to felt it! LOL.  I would love to read about your ideas, since right now I have none.

Have  a great day!!

What a wonderful package.

How about using the handspun alpaca for a nice winter hat? I made some alpaca mittens last year, and they fuzzed up like crazy, so I think a lower friction item would be best. Another idea is get another yarn in a similar weight and make a striped scarf.

What ever you use it for will be wonderful.

Oh yay, yay, yay!! I'm so happy you liked everything! :) I had so much fun being your spoiler. I was thrilled when I got my assignment. Not that I wouldn't have done a great job for someone else, but its so much fun when you know & like the person you're spoiling. :)

Happy Knitting & God Bless!!!

Great package. Now if you can ever tear yourself away from petting the yarn, you might be able to make a lacy scarf with it.
