Summer dishcloth swap goodies, fill ins late again

I received my package from Cindy V. a few days ago.  Why haven't I posted? Because the humidity is slowly sucking the life force out of me. I have to hibernate in my bedroom (the only room with AC) so I don't melt. Really.

Anyway, it's early, the kids are upstairs, so I have a minute.

This is not the best picture, and I know there are things not pictured, but this is what I gathered. Sorry to be such a bad spoilee, Cindy. I really did love everything you sent. There are 2 dishcloths in there, buried under all the stuff. I got 2 skeins of cotton and 2 skeins of sock yarn. There's a pink pen (not pictured) and a "tranquility set" (also not pictured) that contains a nice CD with some incense. You don't know how much I need tranquility. Well, obviously Cindy does, since she sent me the stuff. Wow, what a treat! And besides the other goodies, there is a handmade journal. I love it!! It has a picture of sheared alpacas and has a very nice binding. Yes, I looked. It's wonderful....Thanks again Cindy for your thoughtfulness that went into this package. Now I can keep cool and tranquil in my AC room!

I finished my Serafim shawl. I made it a short working shawl so I could be done so I hope that is what my MIL uses it for. Now I am working on Vann's Baby Blanket. Which wouldn't take too much time to finish, if I didn't have to spend 5 hours untangling the yarn. Yep, I threw it into a box, along with half skeins and other WIP's .It got dug into, and now I have a mess that is taking forever. I spent 4 hours yesterday, and still have more to do.  Hopefully I can get it untangled before the end of the month.

My girls will be home in  a few days. Yeah!! I really miss them.  I talked to my oldest, who will be 8 in another  month, and she seems all grown up. Yippee!! My girls are coming home.

Here's my delayed Friday Fill-ins again. It's Number 80:

1. Oh, I can't wait until I have a million dollars.

2. Milk is the first thing I see when I open my refrigerator. ( I had to go check!)

3. I never leave home without my shoes.

4. If I were a condiment, I would be salsa because I'm hot and spicy sometimes, sometimes mild, but always flavorful.

5. Spelling and grammar errors is really high up on my list of pet peeves.

6. The last thing I thought of before I went to bed was man, I'm tired.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to staying cool tomorrow my plans include staying cool and Sunday, I want to stay cool !

That's it for today. No knitting pictures since I've been untangling yarn!! Oh yeah, I did start the Sunday Market Shawl. Very cool. I can't wait to get it done. It's like the easy alternative to the clapotis. Lots of stockinette, but mindless knitting so I can read or whatever while I'm working on it. I have to admit that it is done in Red Heart...but I am not a yarn snob. Nope. Not me. I can't afford those nice luxurious yarns. Maybe that's why I join swaps. To get nice yarn. I spend $$ on yarn for other people, but find a hard time doing that for myself. Why? Don't know. So this market shawl is going to be very pretty and acrylic, which is good since my kids use me as a napkin anyway. That's another story altogether. I digress. Gotta love the kiddos. Did I mention my girls will be home soon?  Have a great day!!

Anita what great swap package. I am getting yours ready as well, it isn't however going to match up to Cindy's. Wow what a blessing.

I am not a yarn snob either, but I have developed a taste for the better half... my problem is I have a luxury yarn desire on a red heart budget. LOL
