Magic Loop and tiny dishcloth...SP11 goodies!!!
I have the best SP11 spoilee ever! I got my first "installment" a few days ago. It was very very nice, and I had to fight the kids off to even open it. So here's what I got.
Chocolate! Ghiradelli chocolate, so smooth and creamy. I had to have some right away, so I HAD to share with the kids, LOL. But it was on the verge of melting, so I had to stick it in the fridge (nice excuse, huh?) to save for later, when they went to bed. Did I mention how much I love chocolate?
Ok, I also got 2 skeins of cotton yarn, one in green and one in orange. I needed new cotton, and I love colors, especially together. How weird! I immediately made a tiny dishcloth with it. I am in the process of making another larger one, maybe one I can even use.
There were a bunch of other goodies. Two candles with a lovely scent, that made the yarn smell soooo good. I got a notepad, stickies in the letter of an A, a magic loop booklet, coffee, and best of all....
My new knit picks circular needle so I can make magic loop socks!!! Hooray, partner!! I was so excited. As you can guess, I cast on for my new method of knitting socks. Here's a pic to show you my progress for today. I don't know if I'm sold on the method yet. It's a lot of moving stitches back and forth, so I don't know if it's any quicker, but I do know that I do not have to do the kitchener stitch for the toes, and they already look tons better than the other ones I have done!
Thanks so much to my partner, and sorry it took so long to post. I've been busy!
Here's the baby blanket I've been working on. Well, I think it's going to be more of a child blanket. This is my 4 year old in the pic, and I only have 2 wedges done so far!
