AMH Bookmark Exchange and Socks!!!

I am going to do two posts in one today.

First off, I would like to give a giant thank-you to Margarita who was my bookmark exchange partner in the At My House group. I was happily surprised when I received the puffy from the mailman. It made a beautiful day even nicer!

Margarita does such nice work. She also sent a very cute frog soap that the kids claimed immediately. I had to threaten them so I could even take a pic of it! I love the bios that come with the exchanges. It is always nice to learn about someone who shares your passion.

So here are the pics of an extremely nice puffy and a gorgeous bookmark done in my favorite color. Thanks, Margarita!

On another note, I decided to learn to knit socks. I see them everywhere, and got sock envy. So I found a very good tutorial on each step of sock making. It is very detailed with tons of pics. This is my progress so far. I've made a few mistakes, but they are shaping up. I love knitting socks. It is even better than dishcloths, I think, because you can actually see them "coming alive". It is not too hard, either. Especially with the tutorial I am doing. It's just knit and purl. The hardeest part is probably picking up stitches, but that was pretty easy. Hopefully, I can have this one finished in the next day or so, and then it's mate. I will post the pair when I am done. Enjoy!

Good for you for knitting socks.
I am knitting my first socks also. Pretty cool. I am doing mine on two circular needles. Don't have the nerve to try double points. Can't wait to see yours done.

You can see mine at:

Still knitting the 2nd sock.
